STORYTELLING
Storytelling has been woven into the fabric of our lives since time immemorial. Stories are how we connect with others by sharing our experiences, ideas, and emotions.
The narrative of a story is not merely stating facts but showing emotions and actions through characters, dialogue, and descriptions.
Storytelling helps foster connection and provides education, inspiration and entertainment. Here at IFAM, we strive to provide stories of our history and culture that do all of the above and maybe a little more.
LANGUAGE
Language is intertwined with culture by an invisible thread. The alphabet is the foundation of the written language, but it is also essential to cultural participation and communication.
It enables one to read books in the native language, participate in discussions, and make informed decisions.
Learning the language provides a child with a sense of pride, purpose, and connection to their roots, and it creates a sense of inquiry to understand and learn about one’s cultural background.
